Is this really DJ-Pon3? the white neon-blue-haired pony punk who scratched quite a good tune at Rarity's Fashion Show? It must be, there's one ONE pony who legally holds that cutiemark!
This is quite the eye sight! Both the central focus AND the background! It's a continuous flow, the peaceful clouds and mountains mellows quite nicely with the bard who is enjoying a old pony song she probably grew up on! The effects on every matter is very well done and even if it isn't the pony that most of us know of.. it still catches quite the eye for anyone who passes by this art! waitaminute, did I just call Vinyl Scratch a Bard?!?! Woaw, talk about originality! I have to give kudoes to the commissioner ~Bloodglory on this one! Quite the idea! SteamPunk style is quite catchy and with Skyrim and all, this work was just a happening!
The drawing itself is magnificent, Beautifully colored and shaded, simple details but essential references for the art-enthusiast! My personal favorite remark is the neon/shadowing. It makes the art look cartoony but still within the whole My Little Pony style! The only part I could criticize about is the tree with the green-shadowing. It makes the grass that Vinyl is laying toxic and/or hazardous...
Overall, I have only one sentence to say: If there were more pony art drawn like this, the Brony fan-base would sky rocket!
This is literally amazing and stunningly beautiful. I can't take my eyes off of her. In her eyes, I see you have captured her punk/spunky spirit. Her costume is also extremely original and rather dashing, I must say! She reminds me a lot of myself, actually. There is a kind of masculine energy about her, but she still seems so feminine, especially with how her hair falls and her luxurious eyelashes. The softness of the background contrasts with her hard look beautifully and gives a sense of serenity to the piece. This really is gorgeous, and I would love to know any secrets you feel can be disclosed to the common artist. Amazing.
I could name multiple things I like about this, but I'll just point out one thing for now... You have illustrated Scratch's hair so elegantly. I was never a huge fan of the choppy combination look she has; so this is a nice and refreshing piece of fan-art.
